You have an idea. We give you the mentorship, structure, and capital to turn it into a real business — before you even graduate.
Y Combinator, Techstars, and every other major accelerator requires a product, a team, and traction. Most college founders don't have any of that yet — and that's exactly who we're built for.
The College Hustler is a pre-accelerator venture platform for college students across Africa. We work with you at the earliest stage — from idea to MVP to your first revenue — and set you up for the funding rounds that come next.
We don't wait until you're ready. We make you ready.
We scout based on evidence of hustle — not grades or pedigree.
12-week structured program from idea to investor-ready pitch.
Seed capital for top founders in exchange for equity — no bank required.
When you outgrow us, we open the next door — warm intros to investors and accelerators.
You don't need a finished product. You don't need a co-founder. You need the drive — and the willingness to do the work.
You have a business idea you can't stop thinking about. You haven't built anything yet — but you've been sketching it out in your notes for months. This is exactly where we start.
You've started something — a small hustle, a side project, a first version. You're getting traction but need structure, mentorship, and capital to take it to the next level.
You've decided not to wait for the job market. You want to build something of your own — now, while you're still in college. You belong here.
A structured journey from raw idea to an investor-ready business — with real support at every stage.
Show us your evidence of hustle. Side projects, campus businesses, anything that proves you execute — not just think.
12-week program with weekly 1-on-1 mentorship. Validate your idea, build your MVP, and get your first paying customers.
Top performers receive seed capital in exchange for equity. You've already proven yourself — no cold pitching strangers.
When you're ready for more, we make warm introductions to the investors and accelerators that take it from here.
We support in exchange for equity — negotiated individually based on your stage. No fixed rate. No hidden fees. No upfront cost.
A real cash investment to get started. Not a loan. Not a grant — an equity investment, because we believe in your business enough to bet on it alongside you.
From idea to investor-ready pitch. Curriculum built from real founder experience — grounded in what actually works in the African market, not borrowed from overseas textbooks.
Weekly direct access to founders who started exactly where you are. Not professors or consultants — practitioners who have built real businesses in the same context.
When you're ready to raise, we make the introductions. Warm, trusted, personal. The hardest door to open for a first-time founder — we've already knocked on it for you.
Africa is not short of ambition. It is short of a starting point. We are that starting point.
Moses Katala — Founder, The College Hustler
The College Hustler was built by Moses Katala — a founder who generated over $350,000 as a student, raised capital before graduation, and closed his first major client 18 months before graduation day.
This isn't a program designed by people who read about entrepreneurship. It's built by someone who earned his way through college by building real businesses — and wants to show you how to do the same.

No. You don't need a product, a team, or a single paying customer. We work with students at the earliest possible stage — an idea and the drive to pursue it is enough to apply.
What we look for is evidence of hustle: a side project, a campus business, anything that shows you execute rather than just think.
Equity means we take a small ownership stake in your business — typically between 5% and 15% — in exchange for the capital, program access, mentorship, and investor introductions we provide.
There are no upfront fees, no loans, and nothing to pay back. We only earn when you succeed. The exact percentage is negotiated individually based on your stage and what you receive from us.
Not at all. We have accepted founders studying everything from business and law to engineering and the arts. Your idea and your drive matter far more than your technical background.
If your idea needs technical skills you don't have, part of what we help you do is find the right co-founder or early team member.
Yes — and you're actually a strong candidate. Students who are already building something tend to get the most out of the program because they have real problems to solve and real traction to accelerate.
We work with you wherever you are, from raw idea to early-revenue stage.
All of them. We are pan-African and accept applications from students enrolled at any college or university anywhere on the continent. The program runs online, so your location is not a barrier.
The program is designed to run alongside your studies, not replace them. Expect to commit roughly 8–12 hours per week — covering curriculum sessions, your weekly 1-on-1 mentorship call, and the actual work of building your business.
The more you put in, the faster you move.
By the end of the program, you'll have a validated idea, a built MVP, early revenue, and an investor-ready pitch. From there, the top performers receive seed capital from us directly.
For everyone, we make warm introductions to the investors, accelerators, and strategic partners who can take your startup to the next stage — including Y Combinator, Techstars, and local African accelerators.
We're looking for 10–15 college students across Africa who are ready to stop waiting and start building. No finished product required. No application fee.
Apply to Cohort 1 →Currently enrolled at a college or university in Africa. All countries welcome.
A real problem you want to solve. No finished product needed — just genuine intent.
Something — anything — that shows you get things done, not just think about them.
